Bishop Taken By Death At 46 Mrs. KAYSVILLE Vilda Thurgood Bishop, 40, died in her residence in Kaysville Thursday morning at 5:25 a. m., after a lingering illness. She was born in Bountiful, Apr. 11), 1003, a daughter of F. George Thurgood and Mary Holbrook Thurgood. On February 5, 1025, she was married to Lloyd A. Bishop In the Salt Lake LDS temple. She had been a resident of Kaysville for the past 18 years. Until the time of her illness she was an active member of the LDS church, having served in the presidency of the Kaysville Second ward Relief society, as a Relief society teacher, and as a counselor in the Primary organization. With her husband she served an LDS mission to the Hawaiian islands in 1020 and 1027. Survivors include her husband, Kaysville; her parents, Bountiful; one son, Lloyd R. Bishop, Kaysville; a cousin she reared, Barbara Heath Anderson, Essen Germany; a brother and a sister, G. Newell Bishop, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Kathrine Decker, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12:30 p. m., in the Kaysville Third ward chapel, with Bishop G. LaVirl Stewart officiating. Friends may call at the family home Sunday afternoon and evening1 and at the Relief society room in the ward chapel Monday from 10 a.m. until time of the services.
