DAVIS YOUNG ENJOY SWIM COURSE BY ARC FARMINGTON Over a thousand children in Davis County have completed the American Red Cross swimming course which has been held at Lagoon for the past six weeks. Thats an exceptionally large group when you consider the fact that we started the program with only 47 class members just nine Rex B. Snow, Davis years ago, County water safety chairman, said. Classes have been taught Mondays through Fridays with various sections of the county taking part each day. Approximately 2()0 stut dents from South Davis County took the course on Mondays. An evening class of 38 adults was given on Monday evenings. Tuesday classes were devoted, to approximately 2(H) Cub Scouts and Scouts from the entire county. On Wednesday supervisors of the Kaysville summer recreation program accompanied 2(0 children to the swimming classes. Thursday classes weie by miscellaneous advanced students and sponsors. Children from all parts of the northern section of the county made up a group of 330 taking the course on Fridays.
