Trading on most classes was uneven with price trends ending higher uneven. The spread in cattle prices tended to widen out a little with medium grades on the weak side. Most butcher hogs sold in a narrow range of prices, although quotations are weak to a little lower for the period. Crass steers, heifers and cows comprised the largest part of the cattle run this week and it was here that prices were on the lower side. Generally speaking, quotations are ending weak to .10 cents lower, although because of late strength in most branches of the market the loss is considered to be very minor. Fed cattle were in good call through most of the period and are ending steady. A rather light supply of fed steers and yearlings arrived here again and the bulk of high medium and good grading offerings sold from $29.00 to $30.00 with the extreme top resting at $31.00. More was considered quotable on real good grading offerings. At the same time most medium grade steers, the bulk of which were grassers or off good pasture, sold from $2.1.00 to $27.10 with 1,433 lb. steers scoring $27.00. Medium and plainer grades sold from $23.00 to $24.10 with common offerings a little under the inside price. Fed heifers were scarce. Just a few loads were able to sell from $27.10 to $28.10 with a few at $29.10 and $.0.00. Medium grades bulked from $24.00 to $20.00 with common offerings under $22.00. Good fat beef cows sold from $21.00 to $23.00 with medium to good kinds, including best dairy grades, at $19.00 to $20.10. Canners and cutters bulked from $10.00 to $18.10. Good heavy bologna bulls sold from $21.00 to $21.00 wth light weights down to $22.00. Vealers sold up to $33.00 with most calves at $32.00 and less while plain kinds went at $21.00. Stocker and feeder trading was light with most medium to good cattle moving at $24.00 to $27.00 with one load in good killer flesh going for a short turn at $29.00. Hog prices are unevenly steady 2.1 cents lower for the period. Good and choice butchers weighing 190 to 210 lb. bulked from $21.21 to to $22.50, the latter price top for the Psalms l9:9 provides the Golden on Text for the Lesson-Sermo- n God at all authorized Christian Science churches on Sunday, July 2. Additional significant Scriptural citations read, There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; ono God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (Ephesians 4:1,9), Mary Baker Eddy writes in Science and Health witfi Key to the Scriptures, that, The divine Principle of the First Commandment bases the Science of being, by which man demonstrated health, holiness and life eternal. One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfills the Scripture Love thy neighbor as thyself; annihilates pagan idolatry, whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse of man, and leaves nothing that con sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed (p.3lo).
