Show FEBRUARY 21, 1930 NO. 18 News and Features i Interest to Residents of Davis County. of for Residents of The Layton Journal, a weekly newspaper published at Layton, became the property this week of Inland Printing Co., Davis county printers and publishers. The newspaper was purchased from John Stahle, Jr., of Bountiful, who has published the newspaper for 20 years. The publication was established by Hector Evans, who sold the property to Mr. Stahle. Inland Printing Co., publishers of The Weekly Reflex, plan to make the Journal a news and feature publication of general interest to residents of Davis county. The two newspapers will be distributed to all those now receiving either one or both of the publications. Subscription rate of the two newspapers, as an introductory offer, will be $3 per year. Publishers of these two newspapers point out that each publication will be vastly different from the other. The Reflex will continue as a full size newspaper, stressing general news, picture and editorial content of interest to residents of this area. The Journal will be printed as a tabloid, and in addition to general news, will stress features of interest to the housewife, farmer and children. In issuing these two publications for residents of this area, the publishers feel that readers will have newspapers interesting home-tow- n reaching their homes each week. The Reflex, as usual, will be published on Thursdays, and The Journal will be issued on Fridays. 22-year-- old well-rounde- d, 0 i: t rj JbjE n M C y |
