BY DOUG LANG Clipper Today Sports Writer KAYSVILLE - The Lady Darts took their first step to advance to the next round in the 5 A playoffs by soundly beating the Lady Jaguars of West Jordan with a 0 win Going into this game the Lady Darts were ranked number three in the state behind Alta and Mountain View, and 4-- DARTS - 4 - JAGSO - '?e 2-- getting thinner a n d thinner, the next game should be a little tougher on the Darts This game was a laugher as the Darts took total control of both sides of the field from the start of the game West Jordan never really even had a chance as the defensive prowess of players like Bryndie Maag and Heather Amell took the Lady Jags completely out of the contest All they could do in an attempt to get back in the game TITLE ON THE UNE: Girls soccer action in the first round of the 5A playoffs in which the Davis Lady Darts Davis' next game will be today against Brighton. The Braves came out a little tentative, but turned on the intensity midway through the first half. Box Elder found themselves just trying to keep their heads abov e water as the Brave tidal wave of offensive shots came down on them. Their goal keeper was up to the task, making save after save, but who finally wilted under the constant Bountiful pressure. Ashley Johnson sprinted wide nght as she thunder kicked to the center, leading Ally Clegg perfectly as she did some amazing karate jump kick, and the ball was in to register the Braves first goal The goals usually come in flumes for the Braves, and today was no different. Two minutes later they struck again. Schwab caught the ball on one bounce and summoned all her energy of her nght foot, and put a hurt on the ball, and Box Elder, for the goal from 30 yards out The Braves outshot the Bees a sicken14-- 1 in the first half, showing utter ing dominance from a team that knows how to do nothing else.
