The announcement encourages artists to submit works celebrating pio- neering in the twentieth century in all parts of the world. Latter-da- y Saints live in many lands, art curator Robert O. Davis said. We hope to see themes that reflect what it means to meet the challenges of todays world as well as in the nineteenth century. Artists may memorialize the early pioneers, or express how the pioneering spirit infuses their individual and collective lives as Latter-da- y Saints, Davis said.
