Today, we ask everyone to measure their love and give pennies, nickels, quarters or dollars for each inch of height. We encourage everyone to be as generous as they can afford to be. Funds donated to Pennies by the Inch allow Primary Childrens to provide necessary medical care for children who have no other means of financial assistance. These chil- dren are fighting cancer, cystic fibrosis, spina bifida, heart problems, emotional disabilities, and NARFE other illnesses or trauma. Pennies by the Inch is the community's opportunity to help children in need at Primary Childrens. One hundred percent of the dona- tions provide financial assistance for those unable to pay. Many children are alive today because of specialized treatment funded by charitable contributions at Primary Childrens. What began as the Penny Parade 54 years ago, has now evolved into a large campaign, raising more than $1 million a year for children at Primary Childrens. In 1994, more than $3 million in contributed funds paid for more than 7,400 inpatient and outpatient visits at Primary Childrens. Of this $3 million came from Pennies by the Inch.
