Born Oct 22. 1911 in Jack Harold Elton Springdale, Cassia County. Idaho, the son of Sarah Ann Hunt and Cyrus Oakley Tolman. Married Mary Esther Davis May 15, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death serve an LDS mission in Jackson. Miss. After their mission, they moved to Bountiful. Utah to be close to their children, where they Jack I Iarold I lion, age 85. our beloved husband, and lather, grandfather retui tied to our Heavenly Father on r, Wednesday. Nov. 3. IW Born on June 29. 1914 in Salt 1 ake C ity. Utah to lolin have lived for 15 years. Jack will be remembered for his gieat love of tennis and literature, and for his w isdom and counsel. He had llenrv and Ethel Ada Lisktne Elton. Married Kathleen Margaret a Newman on May 22. 1936 in the Salt Hike LDS Temple. Jack grew up on the Avenues of Salt Lake City. He was a report writer tor Dun and Bradstreet. Right alter their marriage, he and Margaret moved to Southern California where thev lived for 47 years. Jack was a partner with his father for Slauson Sheet Metal tor many years. He later sold the business and started Jacken Company Sheet Metal. Jack served as ward clerk and later as finance clerk for many years in the Westchester LDS First Ward. Inglewood Stake. He spent many hours on genealogy and he and Margaret were also ordinance workers in the Los Angeles Temple. They sold their home in Westchester. Calif, where they had lived for 32 yeats. to Sept. 6. 1987 One of his greatest attributes was his compassion and service for others. He loved to study and read the scriptures. He loved his children, great sense of humor and grandchildren and his brothers and sisters and their families. He was the fourth of 16 children. He loved doing temple work and working in the yard. He served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints as a Bishop. Councilman twice. High Priest High mise Group Leader twice, Yoik New the Rochester. to sionary Mission. Stake Mission President, and served three stake missions. He was a faithful and dedicated home teacher and Sunday School Teachci. He was a member of the Bountiful, Utah Ninth Ward. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Tolman of Cerritos Calif.: children. Marilyn (Lee) Nelson of wit. His family will remember his great faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. To his children he gave his love and example and the great gift of loving their mother deeply all of his life. Jack is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Robert Elton (Loretta) of Weiser. Idaho. Joyce Dyer (Grady) of Bountiful, Larry' Elton (Marion) of 1 lenderson. Nev., Connie Erskine (Scott) of Bountiful, Dennis Elton (Barbara) of Meridian, Idaho: 30 grandchildren and 34 Preceded in death by his sister. Ada Bennett. Kurt Allison Parker Laub, 6l. of Salt Lake City, aw ay passed Friday. Nov 5. He was 1999. a gentle and loving Heaven soul 1 of Robert Thomley Harris and Nora Robinson. She graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville and in 1933 married Joseph L. Tay lor. Their first home was in Ogden where their son John was bom. In 1941 they moved to Roy. Utah where Josephine eventually worked as a dental assistant before opening Rhea Jo's Apparel and man aging it from 1956 to 1964. After her husband died m 19Lvhe moved with John to Arizona when he retired, w here she owned a home in the Sunbird Golf Resort. In the last five years of her life she developed a close circle of new friends and neighbors and came to treasure the warm winters and the vast blue skies of Arizona Hei heart, howev er. and her roots remained in Utah. During her long life she enjoyed various roles as Sunday School teacher, president of the Young Ladies Mutual Association, and members of the s. tiuly has in favorites Born July 3. 1938 to Cuitis B. Josephine age 85. passed away in her sleep at her son's home in on Chandler. Arizona. November 2. 1999 She was bom on August 11. 1914 in Layton, Utah, into the family traveled throughout the woild. Kurt was a successful art and antique appraiser lor the last 25 years of his life. Kurt will be remembered as an animal lover and a great nurturer: he never met an animal he didn't love and want to bring home.
