1894 there being a full board present minutes of session held october 1894 were read and approved judge brandon in behalf of the committee appointed to investigate as ag to procure the opening of a certain road in the road district in the lane between D B harris and henry thornly reported the committee had visited the locality and had received a proposition from mr thornly over whose laud the road runs that he would sell the 11 1 acres of land that the road would occupy for the sum of 50 the committee recommended that the offer of mr be accepted report and recommendation adopted on motion of selectman cook 50 was appropriated for said purpose to be placed in the hands bands of the county surveyor to be turned over to mr thornly upon his making a proper deed conveying the land in
