Show Senior Citizens ITm Fair Prizes Davis County Senior Citizens Ci-tizens exhibited many prize winning articles at the Davis County Fair. There was a division for arts, crafts, home arts and handwork and each : category displayed a beau-: beau-: tiful work from these citizens. BOUNTIFUL people who took ribbons and cash awards in home arts included Ileen Albertson, Alton Beesley, : Frank Craven, Alta Childs and Geo Page. Amanda Griffith, Wanda Gill, Alice Hepworth, Thala Hinderer, Glenona Hatch and Etta Hayward, Afton Heath, Blanche Harrison and Anona Jordan. RITA M1DDLETON, Sydney Syd-ney Minnetti, Annie Meacham, Rita Middleton, E. Newsome, Afton Page, Cleo Page, Eva Robinson, Mary Ricks, Josephine Reinhardt and Delia Rose. Elizabeth Smedley, Manila Sessions, Edna Vowles, Unice Van Orden and Florence Worthin. Agnes Mangus, Woods Cross and Grace Robinson, North Salt Lake. PRIZES IN oil painting were given to Arvilla Henrie, Grace Hendrickson, Leone Tingey, Harriet Vance, Mable Yenchik and Luella Lundgren, all Bountiful. Lois Smith received honors in china painting as did Jessie Jessup and Celia Merrill from West Bountiful. A.K. Jewkes and Neva Jewkes took awards in wood and ceramic work and from North Salt Lake, William Cushing. IN CENTERVILLE Audrey Fuller had prize winning oil paintings. Farmington people took awards in handwork, Marva Earl, Afton Steed and Ida Mikesell. In ceramics, Celey Baum and Afton Steed were winners. OIL PAINTING awards were received by Maudeen Trask, Edna Nicholls, Ann Hoffmeister, Wilma Miller and Kathryn Jennings. There are many citizens from the north Davis County area who also took many awards. The displays were excellent and a lighted lapidary case with numerous outstanding articles was displayed. ALL SENIOR citizens are invited to the centers in the south and in the north part of Davis County, where there are classes for all of these interesting works of art. |
