However, Park Manager Tim Smith believes most of the action will occur on Saturday as handlers hope to have most of the 600 bison into the holding corral by the end of that day For the safety of all involved, visitors will be kept a mile away from the bison. A complete and sweeping view of the action is available from that distance and visitors are encouraged to bring noculars for a closer v lew of the animals and handlers Visitors to Antelope Island State Park on October 28 through October 31 can observe the wild bison herd as the animals rest in the parks handling facility prior to a health assessment.
