ELDER WEST Elder Ryan David West, son of David and Trina West, has returned home from his mission after successfully serving PEO Food Fair to be held Oct. 23 The PEO Fall Food Fair, which is the major fund raiser for the Utah State Chapters of the PEO sisterhood, will be held Saturday, Oct. 23 at the First Congregational Church, Salt Lake City. Smith named new pastor After more than 25 years of using bivocational pastors, the First Southern Baptist Church of Bountiful announces their new fulltime pastor, Ron Smith. The church is planning an installation service on Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. and are inviting the area clergy and interested people to welcome Ron to Bountiful. Ron has a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Fern, have been serving as servants since 1980, and have pastored in Utah since 1987. His favorite word is "dialogue," and he loves to do just that with anyone at anytime. Ron Smith has a focus of teaching God's Word, discipleship training, and challenging righteousness in the lives of God's children. f The annual event, which is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. will host "An Italian Tribute to the University of Utah" luncheon served from 1 a.m. Also at the fair will be various booths, featuring wreaths, Halloween. Thanksgiving, and Christmas items, crafts, and a coffee bar. The PEO sisterhood is an international philanthropic and educational organization interested in bringing increased opportunities for higher education to women. 1 There are over 30 chapters in the state of Utah alone, 5,600 plus chapters world-wid- e including 250,000 active members. The Helen Abbott Fund and the Susan W. Coda Memorial Scholarship Fund are state projects which provide educational aid to women in Utah. Serving as Utah's State President is Ruth Darrington, Ogden. Digging for an Eagle - Rachelle Adams for The Church of Jesus Christ of ELDER ADAMS Elder Christopher Adams has accepted a call to the Toronto East Canada Mission for the LDS the Fort Lauderdale Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Ryan will be reporting on his mission on Sunday, Oct. 17 , at 3:45 p.m. at the Centerville 6th Ward Chapel, 900 S. 400 E., Centerville. from ated Woods Cross High School class of 1992. He has since been going to Weber College studying art. At the time of his call he was serving as a stake missionary in the North Salt Lake Utah Stake. His farewell was held Oct. 10 in the Orchard 8th Ward and he entered the MTC Oct. 13. Chris would like to express his appreciation to all his family and friends for their love and support. ELDER DAWSON Matthew Dawson, son of Val and Debbie Dawson, has accepted a mission call from the LDS Church to serve in the California Anaheim Spanish speaking mission. His farewell will be Oct. 17 at 2:10 p.m. in the West Bountiful Tenth Ward building, 1750 N. 900 W.
