| Show john wayman dead V john wayman whom we reported ported last week as being very low passed away about 12 0 clock friday F night at his home in cen treville tre villo ho he had been growing more and more feeble for about three years ailing all winter an and d sick in bed about three weeks general debility was the cause of his demise john wayman was born in doddington Cambridge shire england in 1825 making him ei eighty 0 aty years old ho he was a young man of twenty four when he came to utah after arriving here he lived in salt lake cit city y until seventeen years ago when he moved to centre ville where he has resided since at about twenty five he joined the church of jesus christ of latter day saints he lived in the third ward while in the city he was the first sunday school superintendent in that ward and afterwards was counselor to the bishop but between the time ti me he was sunday school superintendent tend and the time he became counselor I 1 sel or to the bishop he be filled a mission to england 0 he was a careful and progressive business man and had held various offices in different corpo corporations he was a director in the davis county bank at ta the ae time of his death he believed in improving conditions about his home a and nd in his fils town and was ever ready to adopt new things 0 s offered by the scientist and inventor funeral services were held at the family residence at 1 rpm P in tuesday it was his request that the funeral bo be held at his home he had arranged 0 for every everything thill ion long 11 before his death A special train came up from salt lake on the dummy to bring r his friends up who wished to attend the obsequies and to take the remains and the mourners and those who wished to go 0 go to the cemetery to salt lake where he was laid to rest carriages were ready at the depot to convey the people to the cemetery and bring them back to the train ninety people went down from here deceased leaves a wife and four sons besides a host of friends tu to mourn his loss |
