Show 95th Date Nellie Yates had two gooo reasons to celebrate. First, because it'sTier 95th Birthday, July 24, born the year 1882. Also because of our ancestors who preceded us, the noble pioneers of Utah State, who settled here. One area -Bountiful. SHE HAS lived here ih Bountiful for over 30 years, which she has enjoyed very much. She has seen it grow into a beautiful place. Her husband died March 27, 1961. They had seven children, which are all living. Two sons from California, James W. Yates, El Cajon and Harvey E. Yates, South Gate. Nephi Yates, Murray; George Yates, Holladav: and. daughters Lillian Whitaker, Saisy Hayesand LucyHolfie, Wl of BountifinV NELLIE has three living sisters; Iva Yates, 97 and soon to be 98. Eliza Davies 92, and Nettie Davies 87. Mrs. Yates enjoys each day as she arises and starts to sew quilt blocks. This, she says, keeps her awake and her hands busy. HER LIFE has been long and full of many interesting accounts throughout her many years. Some very endearing. en-dearing. Others, somewhat exciting and frightening as some of her grandchildren NELLIE YATES can attest to. Also there were times when life was distracting distract-ing and hard. But the memories of pleasant and lasting joys remain utmost on her mind. And most of all, she discovered dis-covered throughout these years, the importance of family ties and the love to be given. Also in reference to the experiences during her lifetime life-time of which she has gone through, has been an inspirational inspira-tional enlightment that has taught her the most important impor-tant values of life. |
