BOYS START VIEWS OF OGDEN CITY JCROSRKRT OE Youthful Globe-Trotte- Afternoon Moving Pictures of Street Scenes and Resort to Be Experts for Reproduction in Local Theatre-WondMachine Takes . Taken By erful 1,000 Impressions a Minute. Arrangement! have been completed tor the taking of moving pictures of the principal street! of Ogden Saturday at 1 p. bi. These pictures will be a decided novelty and will be made especially for a local theater. The work will be done by Harry Revler and Lawrence Frits, who have bad wide experience in this line of work. The Ogden Rapid Transit company has consented to permit these men to use an oien car which will be run over its lines especially for ths occasion. It is claimed that this will Insure clear and steady views,' which is necessary to make perfect moving pictures. It is also Intended to maka a set of films fur the same purpose, in beautiful Ogden canyon. This work will be done from an automobile as It paaaea down the canyon. The machine which will be used to make the moving pictures, is considered one of the must wonderful inventions of the sge. It consists of complicated mechanism, being of French make, and it ia capable of nuking one thousand pictures a minute. It operates much the same as tha Maxim rapid-lir- a gun used in the United States army. To see tha marine in operation ia an interesting feature. Of course, persons on the street at the time the pictures an made will aea a likrnesa of themselves thrown upon ths screen when the pictures are reproduced in the theater. Lawrence Frits ia the person who after receiving permission by wireless teigraphy from Admiral 8 perry took the only moving pictures of tha fleet on Its recent famous trip from the Atlantic to ths Pacific. This picture was taken from the gunboat Nebraska which followed tha fleet from the Columbia river out to the high seaa Messrs. Revler and Frits were r rently connected with the Hales Touring Car company engaged in the work of taking railroad films They were also the first persons to reach Peru and take pictures of the celebrated bull fight, in which a young woman was gored so badly that she died a few days later in the hospital. Both gentlemen are experts in the moving picture business and as both are musters of several languages they have been mors successful than others In foreign countries. tor-read- or ME lETTOMT STEAMER Leave This rs Pleased With our recent Summer Sale has left us with Ogden Hospitality.
