WE gET W BEST ' IN THIS CITY SAYS CRONIN A Salt Lake paper this morning publishes a story to the effect that a strike la contemplated among the railroad telegraphers along the Rio Grande Western. According to the paper the trouble arose over an order alleged to have been Issued on March 1, stating that all salaries In the telegraph department would be cut to 160 per month, and stated that some of them had been receiving aa high as 1125 per month, while others are not making more than STS at the present time. A. J. Cronin, local agent of the Rio Grande, was asked today what, If any, effect the order would have In Ogden, and he replied that It would have no effect here whatever. He said that the story was misleading; that there had been no cut In wages, but that reductions were being made In the working force. He stated, however, that the most of the changes were merely In the transfer of operators from one station to another, and that the only reduction made In salaries was in the case of extra men where it was found necessary to employ them. He said, however, that it would not affect Ogden in any sense of the word. WHITE PLAGUE SANITARIUM. ALBUQUERQUE. X. M, March 7.
