Dr. Beatty stated last night that Rocky Mountain spotted fever resembled typhus to some extent and that it has been found In Idaho and Montana for several years. Recently it spread over the line into northern Utah and there la now one case In Salt Lake. This Is that of a person who contracted the disease In the northern part of the state. According to accounts from Spring City the ailment which has been diagnosed as spotted fever resemoles spinal meningitis. Dr. Beatty states, however, that pure Rocky Mountain spotted fever bears no resemblance to meningitis, and that It Is not neers-sArlly fatal.
