The annual communication of the So vereign Grand Lodge of the Independent Orili-- r of Odd Fellows will be held in San Francisco, beginning Monday and continuing throughout the week. The sovereign grand lodge is composof ed of about 250 representatives grand lodges of the order in different states, territories and foreign countries. Auxiliary organizations will not meet during the week. These Include the Rebekah Assembly and the Patriarchs Militant. The dally attendance during the week of from 20.000 to 25,000 Odd Fellows is estimated by the committee In charge of the entertainment. On the big day, which is Friday next, 50,000 visitors are expected to be here to see the parade, which will be reviewed by the governor and other state officers, the mayor and the city officers and the grand sire and representatives of the sovereign grand lodge. Wright of Pennsylvania, and by other officers of the sovereign grand lodge and representatives of the Grand Lodgs of California. After the public program has been completed the grand officers and representatives will be escorted to Native Sons hall, where the sessions of the sovereign grand lodge will be beld. Monday afternoon there' wQl be an informal reception to all and Monday evening a formal reception will be given for the visiting ladles of the order at the Mechanics pavilion. Tuesday the session of the lodge will continue in secret The grand encampment of California will hold Its fiftieth session in Odd Fellows hall. Tuesday will also be Rebekah day, with exercises afternoon and evening in Mechanics pavilion. Wednesday the sessions of the sovereign lodge will continue. In the afternoon the Patriarchs Militant will display a dress parade In Mechanics pavilion. The cantons of this order will drill in competition for about in purses. For the unofficial visitors and the wives and families of the delegates there will be an excursion on the bay Wednesday. In tne evening a grand concert will be held at Mechanics pavilion. Thursday the prize drills of the Pat. riarchs Militant will be continued and there will be sessions of the sovereign grand lodge and of the Rebekah. Excursions to nearby point during the day and concerts and receptions In the evening will make up the entertainment program. Friday morning the grand parade will start. At various points along the line reviewing stands will be erected for the accommodation of the state and city officials and the members of the sovereign grand lodge. Large prizes have been offered for the lodge which send the largest number to participate in this parade, and prises are provided for the counties of California sending the largest number. The committees hope to have 50,000 Odd Fellows in line. The railroads have reduced their rates and an unusually large crowd is expected to be in the city on the day of the parade. Friday evening the prises will te awarded in Mechanics pavilion. Thete include prises for the largest attendance In the parade, the prises for degree team work and the prises for the drills of the military department of the order. A grand ball Friday night will bring the entertainment program to a close. Saturday morning the officers if the several order will be Installed.
