A March rimfly of Xei IVri-- Indians is searching an eighty-acr- e farm near Cul de Sac, Idaho, for the purpose of locating 812,000 in gold buried there by Reuben lVapsheli, the father of the family. On this farm Wapsheli lived with his squaw for sixty years. He tilled a small plot and raised many cay uses, hich ran at large on the neighboring range. From the proceeds of his horse sales, and the rents he received from the lands he leased to whites, he accumulated more than 812,000. which he burled in a secret spot. Of his four children, Amos, the eldest son, was the old man's confident, and he often went ith his father la the dead of night to bury more gold or secure money for some Immediate use. During his later years the old Indian removed the greater part of the money to a new spot, known only to himself. Ills family always knew the amount thus buried, and he often promised that before he died he would tell his secret to Amos. Three months ago Wapsheli waa taken sick, and before Amos could arrive from his ranch, twenty miles away, the old man died, without the burial place of the gold. Amos, who Is now 30 years old, Is superintending the search for the burled money. City Circulator 8. Foster Hera street. b Closed on Sunday.
