The Indian believes he is going to the happy hunting ground where be will enjoy again to their fullest the Joys and excitements of the chase, etc. In considerable contrast to all this is Mrs. Eddy's idea of heaven, who has developed the Christian science cult Her Idea so far as it Is understandable at all, seems to be one of the higher ones of the better religious natures. Yet Mr. Eddy proliably doesn't know much more about it than others, but as a iierson of such a work and such prominence, her idea 1s interesting. In a signed statement sne gives it as follows: Is heaven spiritual? Heaven Is spiritual, heaven Is harmony, infinite, boundless bliss. The dying or the departed enter heaven in proportion of their progress, fitness to partake of its quality and quantity. One individual may awaken first from his dream of life in matter with a sense of music; another with that of relief from fear or suffering, and still another with a bitter sense of lost opportunities and remorse. Heaven is the reign of divine science. Material thoughts tend to obscure spiritual understanding, to darken the true conception of mans und divine principle, love, wnereln whereby soul Is emancipated and enOur vironed with everlasting life. Hehold, the great teacher has said: kingdom of God within you,' within man's spiritual understanding, of sll the divine modes, means, forms expression or. manifestation of goodness and happiness. The Herald says: Within the last two years a most Valuable discovery has been made In Colorado. Another profitable source of wealth has been added to her already large list. "The common, lowly and much despised rabbit brush proves to be a plant of exceptional value. It Is plant that contains crude rubber in large nnd paying proportion. Discovered accidentally, the experiments that hnve resulted give most encouraging nnd amaxlng facts. Without exception all rubber manufacturers, chemists and experimenters pronounce the rubber to be of excellent quality and very nearly equal to the Little Things of Life. He who Dr. Johnson wisely said: walls to do a great deal of good at once will never do anything." Life Is made up of little things. It is but once lu an age that occasion Is offered for a great deed. True greatness exist-- ; in being great in little things. Ye should be willing to do a little good M a time and never wait to do a gnat deal of good at once. World's Supply of Cork. Seventy-liv- e years ago Italy supplied nearly all the cork used la England, but the Italian supply has fallen ofl greatly of late years. In some provinces the trees have been cut down lor charcoal and In others they have been felled on account of their high potash values. Cork trees easily reach the age of 200 years. They yield cork In their thirtieth year and continue to do so every seven years. A new process has been discovered by which large pieces of cork can he made out of small ones and this has given a great Impetus to the cork industry. The price of cork is going up steadily, both on account of the increasing demand and the decreasing supply of the raw material. m GO-CAR- TS OUR 1904 STOCK AT GREATLY REDUCED PRICES. It Is tha old music, after all, that puts the life Into marching feet, for It carries the traditions of marching la lu melodies. One of the oldest of the tunes was The Whit Cockade." This Is a historical melody to Americans, though many Americans may not be aware of the fact. It was the tune to which the farmers who fired the shot heard round the world marched when they determined to force the passage of the bridge at Concord. Possibly It was the only tune which the drummer and flfer of CapL Isaac Davis' company knew, but the fact that It was played is hlsto-rlcsThe popularity of the tune is proof that a melody made for one party is recognized si good by all If It has the quality of being singable. The White Cockade" was originally a Jacobite tune, bub It made a good march for the descendants of tbe English Puritans, April 19. 1775, when Capt Davis made his musicians strike up. As they were the first American force that ever advanced to battle aa Amer leans, The White Cockade" Is the oldest melody of ' crican army.
