Ball, entomologist at the Agricultural college, Logan: "Dear Sir: Stenographer seeks par don for delay. Illinois used ten additional inspectors during the six winter months of last year In all. In this particular Instance the Inspection work was nearly all for scale Insects. Under Utah conditions I should consider the winter work as essential aa that of any other season. This is the best season of the year to inspect for all scale Insects, for the peach twig cover and os good as any other for several other pests. During this season the fruit grower has more time and will listen with much more attention to suggestions of cleaning up and bettering hla grounds. The Inspection work to be followed by the winter spraying must, of course, b done at this time." Commissioner Wilson reported that the canyon sprinkling wagon had been sent to be thoroughly repaired before It Is put In use. He also reported that no bills for damage done to the canyon road in 1904 had been presented to the sheep owners and upon hla recommendation the clerk was Instructed to make out such bills and deliver them to the county attorney for collection. Letters have been received from Senator Smoot and Congressman How ell acknowledging receipt of the blue prints of the proposed site for the flsh hatchery near Huntsville.
