Show m DAILY CORIXXE W nEDAY. - - CoHU'y Ilondfl. The committee appointed by the City Council, to wait on official of Box Elder county and consult with them on the matter of locating a county road between this place and Brigham Cfy, and bridging Bear River at a suitable point, had consultation with some of tha officer yesterday. The committee, con siting of Louis Demers, J. D. Farmer and J. W. Guthrie, were informed bv Judges Smith and Wright, that special commissioners had been appointed by the Court to examine and report the best location for the road, and that it had been delayed on account of th be high water this summer, but shou'd attended to before the next regular term of Court, which commences the first Monday in September. They both express themselves in favor of the road, and the committee are satisfied that they will build the rord a soon a practicable.' Smith and Wright both say that the increasing population in the western part of the county, and the amount f bn?jnrs? that is being trf by them at the county seat, re quire a better means of communication, and hat it is time that ft county road was bui t as far hs this plnce, and Bear River ' bridged at ft point that is accessible at a.! seasons of the year. In thi conclusion they nre certainly acting for the be.t interests of Brigham Cty, as well as th whole county, for manufacturing establishments of every description are beine built there, and should, of course, first receive the support of the county, and the only reason they do not i on account of the means of communication with the town. The people in the western part of the county can make a trip to San Francisco almost as easy as lo Brigham City, and with but yery little additional expense. With their woolen factory ad their tailoring establishment lat year thev of $200. claim to have done a Yet the city is so isolated that not 000. one half of the people in the western part of the county are aware that they-ca-n secure such articles at their county town.
