Problems have risen since the system first got under way last October, but for the most part the feedback we have received from you is that the program is satisfying the purpose designed. Monev received bv the carriers is used for nothing but building the carrier program. Of the 75 cents collected per home each month, at least 15 cents to 30 cents goes directly to the carrier. The rest of the funds are used to buy trophies for Carriers of the Month, cash awards for carriers, and also used to offset the cost the boys spent in the past to buy elastics and their carrying bag. The present carriers and their parents are elated for the most part, about the program. It has been a project which has taught youth the value of hard work, managing money and time. In the near future, Clearfield route carriers will get together for a pizza party, a little something to build moral among the carriers. Roy is planning a similar event. A bonus point systems has also been designed to help the carriers work toward collecting enough bonus points to purchase valuable prizes.
