The Clearfield Stake Young Adults did and had a great time. The game ended with a score of Luckily, we had more young adults than broorp s soj every one had a chance to watch as well as play. Believe me, we were thankful for a rest once in awhile. Now, when eating a dinner, we usually have our main course first followed by a dessert, and eat with the proper utensils. Not so with our young adult dinner held last Wednesday night. Our Stake Leaders first gave us a numbered menu which did not make any sense at all. We were asked to arrange playing Hockey 3-- these sixteen numbered phrases into four groups of Food courses. They took the menus to the kitchen and the next thing we knew our leaders were bringing some of us food without utensils, others received dessert first. Some had to eat with their fingers or with just a knife or a spoon depending on what we had ordered from the menu which gave us no hint of what the item was. A few of the items on the menu were foiled eyes (baked potatoes) Promised Valley Playhouse, (ham), Golden nuggets, (corn)and butchers delight (knife). Can you imagine the turmoil and the uproar of laughter when each person discovered what he had really ordered. Needless to say, we all went home stuffed anyway. We also had basketball games and a snow party which included a jolly sleigh ride. Thats all the Young Adult news for now, be sure to honor Valentines day every day. The Party is an annual event Daddy-Daught- in the Primary. This year the Clearfield First Ward held theirs on January 25. It is most exciting for the girls to have a special night out with the man in their lives (DAD)! Dad always seems to stand a little taller and a little prouder that night. The theme for the evening was built around a western style, including games with a western twist, milk cans, paper vests and aprons for decorations. Dads and their dates came in western attire. As you might guess, John Ross in his hat and Ray McMullen in his suspenders stole the show! Supper consisted of sloppy joes, salads, a vegetable plate and ice cream sundaes. The highlight of the evening was a picture of each Daddy Stake Inservice Leader, Margelee Smith was a special guest. Jill Higley is the teacher for the Merrie Miss class and does a beautiful job.
