Pag 1 4 Nursing supsrvisor, e recalls Watts riots For Ruthie Taylor, a nursing supervisor at Davis North Medical Center, the most heartening facet of being a nurse is seeing a once-i- ll patient walk away from the hospital. But there was a time in the 1960's Ruthie when questioned whether she or . her neighbors questioned whether any of them would walk away this time from disaster! Ruthie grew up in Arkansas and California with the desire to be a teacher. She graduated from a university in Pomona, RUTHIE TAYLOR, a nursing supervisor at Davis North Medical Center, was pleased to see her neigh bors "walk away" following the infamous Watts riots Calif, and headed for a junior high mathematics assignment in the nearly section of Watts in Los Angeles.
