They drove to Sacramento, California for three days, where they visited relatives and spent a day in San Francisco. The remainder of the trip took them up through the Redwoods and along the Oregon coast. They came home through Central' Oregon and Idaho. Jennie H. Rond, 87, mother of Mrs. Shirley Knighton of Roy, died Saturday at her home in Ogden. Funeral services were held on Tuesday in Ogden. Robert Votaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Votaw, former Roy residents, has spent the summer in Europe and Asia.
