So it figures that if you or someone in your household has not bought a new appliance in the last few months, you are likely to do so in the next few months. Fortunately, there is a lot more information available today for the buyer than esteryear. As recently as 1975, if you sought to buy the most durable and efficient appliance, you had to be a ery astute comparison buyer. Now most major appliances are being clearly labelled, showing the EER (energy efficiency ratio) and annual operating costs.
