This peak, named after Lewis Shurtliff (an Ogden Pioneer who was the first known person to climb the peak) is of most other trails whicn begin down in the valley. The trail begins by slowly switchbacking its way up the south side of north Ogden Pass. For the most part the trail is shaded by trees, but is smooth and well defined.
