In writing this editorial though, I address it, not only to the Legion to once again sponsor July brealfast Clearfields American Legion and Auxilary Post sponsor a July 4th breakfast celebration. They invite all to come and fill right up. The annual activity will take place at the Center Street Bowery behind the Clearfield Police Station. Adults y Saints, that bacon, hash browns, eggs, pancakes, coffee, milk, chocolate drink or orange juice will be served. . . 104:15-17- ) In pondering what the Lord said here, I feel very strongly that first he has a great love for all of us, in that he did give us the free agency to act for ourselves here upon this earth. He stated plainly that the earth was full, who can doubt him. None of us can fully imagine the great love that he has for but everyone that might come in contact with it. My hope is that you will seriously consider it. The Lord has said, And it is my purpose to provide for my saints, for all things are mine. The Jr. High youth will be selling homemade root beer for their Talents The are Sr. High youth organizing an Olympics for youth to adult ages. There will be baseball, volleyball, badmitton, horseshoes. . . . bring your frisbies and kites! Theres going to be something for everyone! Each family is to bring 2 dishes to contribute to the potluck a main dish and salad, OR a main dish and dessert. Each family will need to bring plates, cups and eating utensils to serve its members. Yall plan to come! Talents for Fourth of July At the Clearfield Fourth of July Celebration, our church will have a booth to sell hand made products from the Talents Program. Well be needing lots of products to sell, so please. . . 1. Build, make, sew, construct (or whatever you do) a supply for that day (note, this is not for baked goods). 2. Contact Sara Bramhall or Dorothy Jack to let them know (825-649- your things. 3. Encourage your neighbors, friends and people with whom you work to come and shop (and hopefully buy). 4. Drop by the booth yourself during the day and buy our pop. Remember the profits go to the building fund. B.Y.F. Officers The B.Y.F. Senior High youth group has selected new officers for the coming year. Elected President-Ti- m were: George, Vice Leach, Secretary, Treasurer-Kevi- n Shupe, Historian-Natali- e President-Davi- d Mills. The officers first project was a car wash for the church building fund. The B.Y.F. would like to available for those Red Cross Blood Drive We encourage you to join in the blood drive Wednesday, June 13, from 7 p.m. in the church fellowship room. Mission News Dates to Remember 3-- the JULY 15 After Sunday morning Worship Hour there will be an information giving time on the Job Corps Center. Valene our McGrath, Churchs Youth Division Chairnerson. and a Center staff person, is working with the Mission Division on the program. A film on the Centers educational opportunities, and home life, philosophy, will be shown. A question-answe- r time will follow afterwards. Building Our Talents It has been 2 months since our talent program began and a number of our people have put their silver dollars to work. Every Sunday there have been many items for sale at the back of the sanctuary. For example, the jewelry made by Ed Isler and the leather goods by Don Kinsey can be ordered at any time. There are always samples of their work on display. Bee Fisher, who makes a delicious Raisin Cream Pie, is accepting orders for this item. They will sell for $3 for a 9 inch pie. You can call her at On the Fourth of July the Church will have a booth for selling talent items and soda pop. The booth will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. We hope everyone will try to make this a profitable adventure by having a number of items to sell. Dorothy and Frank Jacks, who will be making the arrangements for the booth, will need people to volunteer for work on different shifts for that day. People will also be needed to set booth up on July 3rd and tear it down the night of the 4th.
