You need not to be 65 for this refund. 733-706- Our senior citizens Mr. and Mrs. Irvan Tims recently returned from a two week vacation to Frankfurt, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They visited their niece living in Frankfurt. They reported a delightful time. They enjoyed the spectacular fire works at the castle of Heidelberg, which were displayed over the river. Irvan was sporting a green Swiss hat with a white feather when he reported into the center on Tuesday. Center close June 28th Thursday, June 28th both Senior Citizen Centers will be closed; because all Seniors are invited to be at the annual Davis County Picnic. It will be held at the Layton Park. We are encouraging you to pick up your lunch tickets, now, at the Heritage Center because it may be the ticket for one of the many prizes that will be given away that day. LELAND PATTERSON Couple honored for anniversary WEST POINT--M- r. and Mrs. Leland Ray Patterson, 3642 W. 300 N., were guests of honor at a family dinner Saturday at Maddox Ranch House in Perry for their 50th wedding anniversary. The Pattersons were married June 19, 1929, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Patterson was born Sept. 20, 1907, a son of Ray and Elizabeth Patterson, who recently celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary. He owned and operated a farm, and was custodian at the West Point Elementary School for 20 years. BORN IN 1920 MRS. Whats happening around Sunset? Heber Grant Hammon Jr. was among graduates of San Francisco State College this month receiving a Masters Degree in business administration. He is the Western Region Finance Officer for the Maritime Commission headquarters in San Francisco. He and his wife the former Karen Call and children. Mark and Ann live in Concord, Calif. He graduated from Davis High School and the University of Utah living in Roy and Sunset before going to San down Francisco. three , Kenneth and LaRee Keller have returned after two weeks in Washington, a combined business and sightseeing trip. They toured Washington, Congress, F.B.I. Building, William- sburg, Va., and Gettysburg, Pa. Visitors of Arley and Lorene Wallace last week were Giles and Beth Framton of Sandy and Carl and Lorene Davidson of Sparks, Nev. Mr. Davidson is Mr. Wallaces nephew. Christy Jenkins who lives in Salt Lake spent Fathers Day with her parents Mark and Bonnie Jenkins. Larry and Norma Ash- have returned after a week combined business and vacation trip. Enroute to Atlanta, Ga. for a two week seminar they went to Nauvoo, Carthage and other interesting spots In that area. The trip took in about ten states, 4,000 miles. Bob and Gaylene Croxford of Evanston, Wyo. are here this week with Gaylenes mother Virginia Draper. Mr. Croxford is attending a seminar at the University of Utah. Ira L. Brady, 76, of Ogden who died on June 12 at his home was the father of Mrs. William G. (Joyce) in Born Wayman. Mississippi he had lived in Ogden since childhood. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 45 years and had been a guide at the Ogden Information Bureau. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his widow the former Myrtle Hedelius, one son and three five daughters, grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Bishop Chester Bolingbroke of the 4th Ward officiated at funeral services on Saturday. Internment was in the Ben Lomond Cemetery. JR Cummings is having a not so usual type of vacation the past few weeks. His mother D'Lyla drives a truck and he has been with her since school ended. Right now they are in New Jersey. He is enjoying accumulating post cards from different locations. JR lives with his grandparents Pete and Bemita Kerscher. and Ernest Teresa Anderson spent Fathers Day here with their grand daughter Emily, daughter of Maryann Anderson. Their son Gary Anderson died a year or so ago. They are from Montpelier, Ida. Mary Jane Judson visited here over the weekend with her mother Dolores Judson, she lives in Salt Lake. Ron and Debbie Opp are here from North Dakota visiting with their parents, Ronald and Lora Opp and Robert and Florence Koster. Roxey Bronson has been hospitalized in the Davis North hospital for surgery. Phil and Annette Olmstead and their two children are back at home after a rest in the Uinta's. Fathers Day was observed by Oz and Verda The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Renaldo Gardner, 831 Valeria Drive, Layton. Bishop Grant M. Steed presided in the ceremony. Attending were Miss Cindy Williams as maid of honor; Miss Julie Harris was bridesmaids, and Mrs. Lindon Abshire as attending matron. ATTRACTIVE GOWN The birde wore an attractive gown of qiana, designed with a sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice, rewith trimmed embroidered lace and pearls. A pleated front panel and skirt extended into a chapel length train. Knight with a dinner for the families of their two daughters, the Dee Jay Hammons of Brigham City and the Floyd Wilcoxs of Syracuse. Also present was Glade Merrill of Tremonton. Born Feb. 3, 1910, in Syracuse, Mrs. Patterson is a daughter of James Arthur and Luella Barber. Both are active members of the West Point LDS 1st Ward. They have one son and four daughters: Mrs. Wayne Grover, East (Marlene) Garland; Mrs. (Carma) Junior Taylor, Harrisville; Duane Patterson and Mrs. Lynn (Janet)DeGraw, both of West Point, and Mrs. Perry (Joan) Steidley of Rockland, Idaho.
