Show V i HOOPER STAKE FIRST WARD Because of conference, fast meeting will be on the 2nd Sunday in April. There will be a special Priesthood session at the temple tonight at 7:45. ROY NORTH STAKE serving children in a nursery situation, are invited. Ideas for Family Home Evening, educational toys to make, and many other activities for children will be shown. Relief Society nursery leaders are also encouraged The stake Sweetheart Ball will be held on Saturday at the stake center. All members of the stake 14 years and older are invited to dance to the music of Gene Claytons band. A couple from each ward will be honored, as sweethearts. The stake Relief Society is sponsoring a Childrens Seminar on Saturday, with Carole Dawn Smith as the instructor. Any mothers of the stake interested in ob Communications is being to attend. A class in Marriage scheduled, with 8 two hour sessions planned. There will be a charge of $20 for the course, and if you are in- terested, contact your bishop. The title of Outstanding Missionary has been given Elder Duncan by his mission president, Russell C. A dinner and program will be featured. NINTH WARD The Mia Maids will hold a bake sale after mutual on March 22. The Relief Society will have the Social Relations and Mother Education lessons at their meetings next Thursday. The baby of Gary and Peggy Bingham has been blessed by his father and named Curtis Lee. The Mutual girls and their mothers are invited to the Celestial Night on April 19. at church on as Sunday, part of the Promote Relief Society Nauvoo Women month. ELEVENTH WARD Troy Drake has been ordained a Teacher, Dona Green has been sustained as Mia Maid adviser. Jeanette Jensen, daughter of Marvin and Cheryl Jensen has been baptized and confirmed. The Social Relations and Mother Education lessons will be taught at Relief Society next week. TWELFTH WARD Super Social is the special event planned for March 24, for all ward members. There will be a dinner, a Walt Disney movie for the kids, and following the movie all families are invited to stay for round dancing. Popcorn and candy will be sold during the evening. All ladies of thq ward, and their partners or friends are invited. There will be a Mexican dinner and a program. The fst year Mia Maids will ake orders for chicken for Family Home Evening on March 20. This is a fund raising event for the Mutual. Next Thursday will be the Relief Society Homemaking meetings. THIRTEENTH WARD The High Priests of the ward will have a social on LatbeRcra Wayne Ohlin, and Bob Barker have been ordained High Priests, Palm Sunday services at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 5560 S. 2300 W., Roy, will begin with a Palms Processional starting from the Fellowship Hall at 10:45 a.m. and Rick Wallace and Scott Brown have been ordained Elders. THIRD WARD The following have been released from the Sunday School: President William The Sunday Church School at Our Saviors meets at 9:30 a.m. for all age groups. The sixth grade class taught by David Drake has just completed a unit on the letters of Paul. They are currently planning to help serve the annual Easter breakfast. There will be no Sunday School on Easter. The Lutheran Church Women will hold their general meeting on March 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the fellowhsip hall Mrs. Carol Riggs will Reeder and councilors Richard Montag and Charles W. Morgan. On March 23 at 7:30 p.m., Our Saviors congregation will celebrate the contemporary guitar setting of communion. The theme of the service is servanthood. A service of extinguishing lights known as Tenebrae will be held on Good Friday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. This is one of the oldest services in the Christian Church and will mark our Lords seven last words. There will be two services on Easter Sunday. The 7:30 a.m. service will feature traditional communion. The second Easter service will be held at the regular worship hour of 10:45 a.m. The Jr. High Youth Group will serve the annual Easter breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. There will be no Sunday School Easter morning. The Organ Replacement Fund is over half pledged but more participation is needed during the next month to assure early delivery.
