Hal Farr, deputy attorney general, who has been in the harness for the past seven years and who is among the best known seasoned attorneys we have in the state. He has announced that he will try for the nomination of attorney, general on the Republican ticket and his friends from all parts of the state are rallying to his support which assures him considerable backing, at the convention. ' Mr. Farr is a native of Utah, the son of ' the late Winslow Farr and . serving throughout the winter of 1918-191- 9 with the Army of Occupation in Germany. He is at present an officer in the Reserve Corps. KODAK Governor A1 Smith, nominee for president on the Democratic ticket, will tour the country to inaugurate an active political speaking tour of the country in his own behalf. No doubt he will visit Salt Lake City, where the Democrats will give him a rousing reception. Smith is an avowed wet. motor. Years of experimentation followed.
