The company was granted permission to sell 50,000 shares of its stock at per share. Application of the Wut Oil company to dispose of 100,000 shares of its capital stock at $1 per share was granted. The company is capitalized at 500,000 shares, having a par value 4 of $1 each. There is outstanding shares of itsstock. The Morgan Canning company of Morgan with a capital of $1,000,000 dividend into 70,000 shares of common stock at $10 per share and 3,000 shares of 9 per cent cumulative stock at $100 per share, was granted authority to sell $300,000 worth of first mortgage 7 per cent gold bonds due in 1945. Woolen The Salt Lake Mills company, of which J. D. Sparks is president, was also' granted permission to sell 500 shares of its stock which has a par value of $20 per share. Application of the Interstate Petroleum company of Salt Lake with a capital of $800,000 divided into 8,000 units of $100 per unit par value for permission to sell 1,000 units at $100 per unit was granted. The company of Ogden was granted a permit to dispose of 210 shares of tis stock at $100 per share. The Columbia Savings and Loan association was granted a renewal of its permit to sell $10,000,000 worth of installment or paid-usavings certificates. J. Parley White is president. ' The resolution of Senator Nicholson calling for the appointment of a silver commission, introduced December 27 last, has been repalced by another calling for a joint silver and gold inquiry to consist of five senators and five representatives, three to be composed of members of the majority party and two of the minority. This commission is empowered to go into the gold and silver question in detail and is given broad powers, such as to send for persons or papers, to administer oaths, to summon and compel attendance of witnesses, and to employ such personal service and incur such expenses as may be necessary.
