MISS GRACE OWEN CARSON and Parker were married at noon Wednesday at the home of Dr. and Mrs. George E. Davies on Third avenue. Davis took place at the home of the bridegrooms brother, Arthur Davis, No. 4 Avalon apartments, Tuesday night at 9:3$ oclock. The ceremony followed a shower given in compliment to the bride, and came as a surprise, since the exact date for the wedding had not been announced. The rooms were decorated in pink and white carnations and roses. A vase of the flowers was the center-piec- e for the supper table. Mrs. Arthur Davis was matron of honor and Mr. Davis was best man. Little Naomi Davis was ring bearer. About forty guests were in attendance. The couple will make their home in this city. sowles has Lewis william Mrs. Sowles and children at Venice, Cal. They will motor to Coronado to meet W. J. Halloran and Miss Florence Halloran, who are there to take part in the final in a golf tournament March 8 to 11. The family will motor to northern California after , the tournament ends. MUSICAL tea was given by the Welfare club, assisted by members of the Gamma Phi sorority of the University of Utah, at the Y. W. C. A. A Pink club rooms Monday afternoon. and white carnations in a basket formed a centerpiece for the tea table. Mrs. Clayton Gannett and Mrs. L. L. Archer had charge of the tea room and were assisted by Miss Le Jeune Ackerman, Miss Jeannette Groo, Miss Louise Snow, Miss Ruth Wolfe, Miss( Virginia Ramey, Miss Kthleen Phelps, Miss Phyllis Gore, Miss Bonnie Clancy and Miss Helen Waite The musical program was given by the following members of the Gamma Phi sorority: Miss Eunice Radditz, Miss Williamette Thompson, Miss Edna Gannett, Miss Maurice Sasse, Miss Lillian Larsen, Miss Florence Olsen, Miss Lucille Olsen, Miss Madelaine Olsen, and a chorus of the sorority. MRS. R. J. JEFF was given a party by members of her two clubs, the Entre Nous and the Wednesday Social club, Monday evening at her home, 129 North West Temple street. St. Patrick decorations were used in the house and on the supper table. A bowl of white carnations and freesias, tied with green maline, was the centerpiece for the table. Those serving wore green and white caps and aprons. The early part of the evening was spent at cards, followed by a buffet supper. The husbands of the club members were guests. About thirty-fou- r were in attendance. Those serving were Mrs. Ralph L. Loughborough, Mrs. T. E. Coffman, Mrs. M. Z. Forscutt and Mrs. W. E. Coulam. Dr. J. H. Davis and Mrs. Davis have returned from a vacation trip to Ocean Park, Long Beach and other California points. Mrs. Davis mother, Mrs. L. T. Freeze, will remain in California for some months. Mrs. B. Tasem and daughter, Hannah, are in California to remain Some time. They yrill visit friends and relatives at different points on the Pacific coast. Mrs. D. C.
