Show UNCERTAIN TIMES - FEBRUARY 15, 1995 - 7 — LETTERS TO THE TIMES APPRECIATES l N F O R M ATI O N LET US BUILD WHAT Dear Friends, I am writing to express my appreciation for the most recent issue of Castle Valley Times (Trying Times). It shares substantive issues affecting the _ valley and also gives a vivid sense of the caring and concern of individuals who now live there. As an out—'of—town reader and prospective property owner, I am extremely interesed in what happens in Castle Valley. It is a privelege, that non-resident owners, through the FDA are enabled to have a voice in their future community. Thus it is doubly important that they are informed about the issues with which current residents are struggling as they work together to form a real community. There was a lot of this kind of information in “Trying Times.” I was particularly moved by Mayor Valli Smouse’s State of the Town Address, by her caring, her distress, her willingness to struggle and suffer through a painful period. I also appreciated Cris Coffey’s farewell address to the Times. So much volunteer effort, professionalism and commitment will be sorely missed by all who benefit from a news source about the valley. May your subsequent issues continue to openly inform both residents and out of town owners. I thank you for all your efforts. --Katharine Stokes WE WANT A person has a right to build on their property what they want to—--chichen coop, barn, pig pen, studio, shop, guest house, whatever. The only thing that needs restricting is their ability to rent that building to another party for the purpose of making money——-that is violating the 1 family per 5 acres which is important to a lot of people in the valley. —-Marge Stucki Balance check book, keep records of FDA dues and produce monthly reports.
