Show jars L N harmon called by death mrs urs frances regula 11 armon wife ca f levi N harmon manager of the jtb conservatory of music departed this lifo life late saturday S evening atte having undergone a serious oper tion ilion at a salt lake hospital mrs harmon was the daughter of johno john C and regula beno As j a girl she was always active in church work especially in the Y L g 1 I A and in sunday school work ind and after her marriage wa was aromi nent dent and active in the beneficent work of the relief society of the church she was a great believer in in i education and was a gifted woman oman la a many ways being not only well educated generally but else an artist with the brush and color and her femi family 1 possesses many ev evidences of ter her talent she was born sept 25 1871 in toquerville washington c county 0 u n t y utah and with her family moved to this city in june 1901 where they until june of the present year al at this time mr harmon assumed the management of the utah conservatory of musio music and took his family to salt lake mrs harmons father was a prominent member of the church an early pioneer Vio neer and one of th the famous mormon battalion her aged mother one of the most devoted workers in the st george temple for years past and a family of seven children with her husband survive her the children are levi N harmon jr tessie roscoe frances melva marguerite and leland besides her immediate mi family mrs harmon leaves a number of brothers and sisters scattered throughout the entire west and in mexico mrs harmon was educated in the public schools and finished her studies in the brigham young university of provo the family have the deepest sympathy of friends funeral services were held in the twentieth ward chapel at lit 2 tuesday afternoon and many friends of the famil family from this city attended bishop C C nelson conducted the exercises the invocation was pronounced by arthur W horsley president of the carbon arbon stake stalle in which the harmon family formerly resided musical numbers were given by a male quartette mrs stella daynes all prof willard weihe weibe prof J J mcclellan and alfred best hie the principal speakers were G A iverson in R G miller bishop E S horsley rulon S wells president joseph smith and brigham H roberts |
