Show WILL TES T diew fluch L mft people hete commercial club acts at kt a special meeting of the commercial club wednesday night active steps were e taken leading toward the installation of a flour mill ae attrice at Price C C noy R H thompson and B R mcdonald were appointed as a committee of investigation and robt mckune and L lowenstein a financial committee to arrange for the tra boing ing out of a twenty five band ban ea mill now at the price depot this mill is the property of fred L watrous and george H mulvey of amton these two arrived in price the first of the week to receive and load out the machinery the mill is a wide departure from the hungarian process machinery itis it is a self contained mill weighing about four tons the manufacturers claiming for it that with the he adjustment of the rolls it is ready for business immediately upon installation the owners of the mill told to d the business men here that if they would cooperate in a demonstration of the outfit they would set it up temporarily in price hence the action of the club at its meeting called for the purpose of looking into the matter the wednesday night meeting was well attended and there was a unanimous sentiment that action should be taken toward demonstrating the possibilities of the new mill and if it comes up to representation the installation of one at this po nt all were agreed that one of the most important things needed here was a flour mill from the figures available it was estimated that about eighteen ft car loads of flour were used in the city of price alone this jear while there is little wheat raised at this time it was pointed out that through the installation stal lation of a mill the production would at once be bo sufficient to keep the plant running besides there are thousands and thousands of acres or 01 the fines dry farming land in the state at prices very door that could be put into vinter winter wheat were there ethere a demand for the product several made the prediction that within a bears time after the installation of a twenty five barrel plant the capacity of the mill would have to be more than doubled mulvey and watrous will operate cooperate co with price committee for an im immediate test of the new mill arrangements range ments are being made to instill it in some convenient building and an expert miller probably one from salt lake will be sent for to adjust the machi machine ne and give it a thorough trial |
