Mr. Smart and his wife, Rosella Hyde Smart, live at Dayton, Idaho. Othera present for the occasion were: Mr. and Mrs. DeMar Smart, Magna; Mr. and Mrs. Marlow Smart and family, Dayton; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Viebweg, Preston; Mr. and Mrs. David Smart and family, Dayton; Boyd Smart and Ms son, Jason, Montpelier; Mr. and Mrs. Steven Smart, Pocatello; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Cole and family, Whitney; Mr. and Mrs. Terry Gnehm, Logan; and Marilyn and Chris Bodily, Salt Lake City. Dinner was served at tables set out on the lawn. Games and visiting made the day pleasant Alva and Bea Boman are proud of their newest grandchild, Lynda Hill. She was born July 11 to Coralee and Lynn Hill of Bountiful. Andy and Judy Coleman Pedersen, Logan, have become the parents of their second child, a boy named Neil. He was born Aug. 7 and has a brother, Jeremy, IS months old. Mr. and Mrs. Denton Cole- man, Lewiston, and Mrs. Sarah Pedersen, American Fork, are the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Smithfield, and Mr. Hen-richse- n, and Mrs. Lorin Coleman, Richmond, are the ts. Lonnie and Barbara Sharp, Preston, are thrilled with the birth of their first baby girl. She was born at the Logan hospital Sunday, There are three brothers who extend a hearty welcome to their new sister. The boys are Justin, Jason and Jessie. Mrs. Eva Sharp, Preston, and Cecile and Edna Kent are the proud grandparents, and there is a greatgrandAug. 22. mother Walton who lives in Preston. A son was born Saturday, Aug. 21, to Loyd and Janice Field at the Logan hospital. He has a sister, Valorie, who is a year and a half old. Grandparents are Kenneth and Alice Field of Kimberly, Idaho, and Vertis and Norma Bodily. Great-grandparen- ts are Sirs. Ivy Anderson, Moroni, Utah, and Mrs. Grace Field, Lewiston. The new one will be named Christopher Loyd. Just bade from a vacation are Carl and Jane Preece and their children, David, Chris and Cindy. They visited with their son and daughter-in- Carl and Maryann Gregory Preece and their young son, Jeremy, at -law, Ft Lewis, Wash. They went into Canada and visited at Powell River with relatives. For four days they were with relatives on an undes boat touring the Gulf Islands. Vancouver Island and Victoria were also visited. Back in Idaho they spent three days in Boise with more relatives. Cindy had been at Ft Lewis with her brother and his family since the July 4th holiday time when she accompanied them there after they had vacationed in Lewiston. Vacation time far Mike and Phyllis Ford found them at the Monte Foreman Ranch in Elbert, Colo. There they spent a week taking riding lessons from Mr. Foreman who is a member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame. Taking their four small children along Gordon and Anna Barlow traveled to Rexburg and Sugar City and to the Teton Dam site. Going on to Yellowstone Park they spent a day showing their children the sights there. Another day was enjoyed at Jackson Hole and the last day found them at Bear Lake where they got sunburned at the beach. A tour of the Minnetonka Cave was included while they were in the area. Bear Dinner guests of Gordon and Anna Barlow, Sunday, were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Owen of Preston; Gordons parents, Granville and Edith Barlow, and Ms sister, Elaine Hyer, and her children. Dr. Martin Pond, a professor at Perdue University in Indiana, was In Lewiston Wednesday of last week calling on friends and relatives. He grew up in Lewiston, being the son of Valeria Pond now living in Logan, and the bte Harris Pond: Paul and Pat Baldous and their three small children, Paulette, Peggy and Phillip, have been guests of his sister and brother-in-law- , Beth and Ron Hansen, and their family for a few days. The Baldous family resides in Palmyra, New York. Celebrating birthdays is always special for children. Gina Taggart experienced such an occasion on Monday of last week for her birthday number nine. A full day of fun at Lagoon included Ginas parents, Bryan and Sharon Taggart; two sisters and a brother, Julie, Kristie and Duane; cousins, Melinda and Jarilyn Pugmire, and neighbors, Loren and Melba Scott and their children, Ty and Randy. Sheryl Karren and his children came from Bountiful to visit with his mother, Mrs. Mildred Karren, during the weekend. Steven Bodily, file son of Bardo and Wanda Bodily, has returned home after completing his LDS missionary assignment in New York. He will report his mission activities on Sunday evening, Aug. 29, at7:30 p.m. in the Lewiston Second Ward. Allen and Dolores Wheelers home was the scene Sunday for a dinner celebrating the homecoming of Steven Bodily following the completion of his missionary work in New York.
