Show 4 - THE CITIZEN January 12, 1967 BEAT THE JINX WITH BIG SAVINGS AT THESE PRES New Ward Conference Plan Set Up For Benson Wards Beginning with the new year the annual Ward Conferences conducted by the Benson Stake Presidency, under the direction of President Clarence Anderson of Trenton, will take on new meaning and impetus, officials said. Beginning with the Relief Society meetings held earlier in the week, a member of the stake presidency, high council representative and members of the Benson stake Relief Society stake board will visit the ward in which conference will be held. These visitors along with the wards bishopric will be special guests and participate in the days activities. Likewise, the MIA and Primary will host members of the stake presidency, high council, stake board and bishoprics. On Sunday, special sessions in priesthood meeting, Sunday School and sacrament meeting will be conducted by the stake presidency with members of the ward invited to participate. RICHMOND Funeral services were held In Salt Lake City recently for Robert Kar-re41, of Salt Lake City, who died of a heart attack. Mr. Karren was a son of Low-fe- ll and Gretta Layne Karren, born in Lewiston on May 19, 1925. He participated in many athletic events in the county where he obtained his education. He served in Germany in World War II. He married Betty Burke in Salt Lake City and had resided here since. He Is survived by his widow and children, Cregg, Dean, Steven, Randy and Becky, of Salt Lake City; his narents of Idaho Falls; and the following brothers and sisters: Meldon Karren, Victorville, Calif.; Mrs. Merlin i(Leora) Smith, Richmond; OrMrs. Afton .
