She likes to do creative cooking for special meals. She says "Cooking can be fun." She also likes to sew and do interior decorating. Alice likes to entertain relatives and friends. She says "Food is a natural part of the scene when entertaining." She appreciates good music and good books. She loves to read but is not proficient on a musical instrument, but they have music in their home. Alice was married to George Jeppesen in the Logan temple June 9, 1953 and they have eight children. They designed and built their new home. It was a 1 Makes cup grated cheddar cheese (med. or mild) 'x pint cream (Whipped) 3 egg yolks 3 Tbsp. vinegar 1 1 Combine jar marshmallow creme with 13 cup 1 tsp. almond extract (or any other 1 margarine and flavoring of choice). Blend in 4 cups sifted confectioners sugar. Tint with food coining. Roll into balls or' mold into other shapes such as hearts, diamonds, squares and roll in coconut or decorate with nuts, maraschino cherries, raisins, cake decorator candies, ALICE JEPPESEN, enjoys creative cooking for special meals. Citizen Photo etc. HOLIDAY JELLO SALAD 1 can crushed pineapple, drained (No. 2V4) ' ipkg. miniature manthmallowK cup quick oatmeal cube butter 2 eggs U tsp. 1 salt 13 cup flour tsp. cinnamon tsp. soda 1 tsp. nutmeg Mix together and add to oatmeal mixture. Place in oblong pan that has been greased and floured. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. 1 - 1 can pineapple tidbits, drained (13'i oz.), reserve syrup 13 cup vinegar 1 Tbsp. soy sauce 1 Tbsp. cornstarch 4 cup brown sugar 13 cup chopped green pepper Prepare meatballs; remove from skillet and keep warm. Drain off fat; stir reserved pineapple syrup, vinegar and soy sauce into skillet. Mix cornstarch and sugar. Stir into syrup mixture. Cook stirring constantly over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Add pineapple tidbits, green peppers and meatballs; heat through. Serve with rice. 1 MARSHMALLOW CREME CANDY ' l'x cup boiling water Stir, cover and let stand 20 minutes. 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup white sugar SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS (Makes 24 meatballs) affairs. to 8 servings. David and Jasmine Williams spent the holidays in Bountiful at the home of. their daughter, Verna and Tom Burns and family. Veda Cottle, Pocatello, visited during the weekend at the home of her brother Willis and Tellma Thompson. Mayme Griffin spent two days during the holiday weekend at the home of her daughter, Edna and Rex Thompson in Logan. Elaine and Veldon Goodey and family joined her brothers and sisters at the home of her parents, Iva and Leo Godfrey in Garland for Thanksgiving. Ferris and Carolyn Thompson and family, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Verla Olson of Lewiston, enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Ralph and Sharon Olson and family in Bountiful. Sunday guests at the home of Elaine and Veldon Goodey was her brother, Alan and Brenda Godfrey and daughter, Barbara of Plymouth. . Weekend guests at the home of Willis and Tellma Thompson was their son, Lathair and Georgann Thompson and family of Bountiful, also Mark Burn-fielof Oshwa, Canada. Mark is one of LaThair's converts to the LDS Church. Rhonda Goodey flew to d, Dallas, Texas, where she spent the holidays with her two sisters, Karen Schoen and family and Meryl and Alan Cornish and family. Thanksgiving Day dinner guests at the home of And- rew and Corrine Heggie were Rolfe and Ruby Jay and Peggy Tuddenham and three daughters of Blacksmith Fork, Kenneth Tuddenham, Tud-denha- Salt Lake City, LaVar and Lona Mae Godfrey and three daughters, Kaysville, and Evan and Kathryn Godfrey of Clarkston. John Olson, student at BYU and son of Claude and Virginia Olson of Klamath Falls, Oregon, spent the holidays at the home of his uncle and aunt, Andrew and Corrine Moggie. Thanksgiving day dinner guests at the home of Pres, and Mrs. John L. Heggie was their daughter, Helen Heggie, Salt Lake City, their sister, Sarah Heggie, Clark-slo- n, and nephew, John Olson from BYU. Willis and Tellma Thompson joined their family on Thanksgiving Day at the home of their daughter, Ear-iee- n and Darrell Gregory in Salt take City. Ann Archibald. Sun- day evening was conducted by Bishop Udell Godfrey, it being a welcome home testimonial for Kim Godfrey,, son of Dorreen and Jess Godfrey, who returned home Saturday after serving an LDS mission in the England Manchester mission. Speakers besides the missionary was his parents. Bishop Godfrey and LeRoy Goodey. Ann W. Godfrey was released as a Primary teacher Sunday evening in Sacrament meeting. Elbert and Abbie Godfrey Riverside, Idaho, visited during the weekend at the home olhis heather. Jess and of Doreen Godfrey. They also attended the welcome home of their nephew, Kim Godfrey. Sarah Godfrey is visiting . for an indefinite time with her daughter, Sharon and Eddie Bodily and family in Dublin, Calif., also with her son Lloyd and Pat Godfrey and family in Newcastle, Calif. Alph and Ruby Godfrey enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the home of their son, Therm and Judy Godfrey and family in Logan. Mrs. Sylvia Buttars has returned home after spending three weeks visiting in Weiser, Idaho, with her sisters, Mrs. LaRee Me. The Cub Scouts held their pack meeting recently in the Ward Scout Room with Gem Griffin conducting. The theme for the evening was "Rural America. The flag ceremony was presented by Robyn Goodeys den. Carolyn Thompson, Primary Pres., led the group in singing Old McDonald's Farm. Jane Young was in charge of the games. A skit was presented entitled Are You My Mother? Those participating in the skit were Kevin Buttars, Jamie Clark, Bryan Apgood, Shawn Gleason. Lance Davis, Daryl Benally, Randy Thompson, Teryl Goodey and David Young. A cardboard cow milking contest was held by both dens. Winners were Kevin Buttars,' Randy Thompson and Bryan Apgood. Each boy made his own Jcllo box animal puppet. Refreshments were served by Linda Sorensens den. Rojcr and Linda Sorensen and family enjoyed three days during the Thanksgiv- ing holidays at the home of her parents Max and Inna Simonscn in Manti.
