He was born May Mrs. Norman Preston; (Dean) Lundberg, Smith-fiel- d, Utah. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Preston South LDS Stake Center. FTiends called at Webb Funeral Home. Burial was in the Cleveland Cemetery. ZOR A PETERSON Zora P. Peterson Zora Poulsen Peterson, 63, died Sunday at her home in Montpelier. She was born Dec. 22, 1911, in Liberty, Idaho, to Gem and Martha Nielsen Poulsen. On April 1, 1933, she married Raymond Peterson; the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She attended schools in Bear Lake County, Idaho, and Box Elder County, Utah, and was active in the LDS Church. At the time of her death she was Montpelier Stake Relief Society president. Survivors include her husband, Montpelier, five sons and one daughter: Karl R. Peterson, Smith field; Max P. Peterson, Providence; F. Ross Nephl Cornish Funeral services for Nephi Cornish, 72, were conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Cove LDS Ward Bowcut Chapel. He died Saturday in a Preston hospital after a long illness. He was born Sept. 23, 1902, in Cove, to Joseph Nephi and Bertha Bowcut Cornish. He was a farmer and had served as president of the Mountain Home Irrigation Co. and as waterm aster. He was a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are the following brothers And sisters, Alden and Henry Cornish, Mrs. Orvilla Richards and Mrs. Clarence (Florence) Allen, all of Cove; Mrs. Merlin (Donna) Gilbert, Fairview, Idaho; Birch Cornish, Franklin. Burial was in the Franklin Cemetery. Viola Woolf Funeral services were held Wednesday noon in the Hyde Park ward chapel for Mrs. Viola Woolf, 80, former Hyde Park resident. She died in a nursing home in Idaho Falls Sunday morning after a long illness. Born Nov. 3, 1894, Hyde Park, she was a daughter of Ole Julius and Kirsten Anderson Hansen, and attended school at Hyde Park. She married Russell Glenn Woolf, Feb. 23, 1917, in Logan LDS Temple. After their marriage they moved to Moody, Idaho for two years and then to Riverdale, Idaho, where they farmed. She entered an Idaho Falls nursing home May 6, 1971. Her husband died Nov. 16, Peterson, attended Cache Schools. County He is survived by his wife, his mother and the following sons and daughters: Danny Craig serving in the U.S. Army, Georgia, Scott, Sandy Randy Ray, Lanny Keith, Mrs. Bill (Vickie Rose) Huffer, Mickie Lynne, Beckie Anne, Jackie Lee, all Salt Lake Gty. He has one grandchild. One sister, Mrs. William D. (Mildred) Smith, Salt Lake Gty and two brothers Jack and John R. Rees. Bountiful. fu . Births Pair Sets Retired Lecture Friday Date Mr. and Mrs. Garth Clark Page announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Beverly to Randy Kay Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard H. Johnson, Benson. The couple will be married Friday and a reception in their honor will be held that evening from 7 to 9 in the Holiday Room of the Holiday House Motel. Saddlers Meet Bodrero To Give at Holiday House Randy is a graduate of Sky View High School and Seminary and is employed at LeGrand Johnson Construction Co. They will make in Logan. their home The April meeting of the AARP (American Association of Retired People) will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Senior Gtizens Center, which is located at 236 North 1st East, Logan. James Chapman will be in charge of the program, with Douglas Bodrero giving a lecture on the experiences of a deputy sheriff, and also on law enforcement, following which will be a question and answer period. Musical numbers will be given by Karen Fisher. The meeting will be under the direction of Letha Spencer, president, and Ruth Johnson, program chairman, and they desire a good Smithfield Summit Saddlers held a meeting Wednesday evening at the American Legion Hall. Bob Hill, Jr., president, led in a discussion of what they would do for Health Day. A Little Buckaroo rodeo and horse races were decided on. Plans for the summer and future of the club were also discussed. Vice president is Tedd Downs, directors are Ernie Garza and Glenn Thomley and the vice president also serves as secretary. The next meeting will be held in April. Ten were present and anyone interested are invited. Smithfield Briefs The Smithfield Gvic Gub met at the home of Eve Reese Thursday evening where Phyllis Tout presented by the Historical Heritage Society of Smithfield. Old photographs, period clothes, and antiques were shown following the Aimed program. A quilt displayed was 150 years old and yet another close to 100 years. A civil war gun, a piece of Jewelry made from a civil war button, plates, a shaving mug from a Logan Barber Shop, and a $2.50 gold piece were among the other items enjoyed by the group. Phyllis Allsop, club president, was in charge of the meeting and 19 members were present. Everythings new but our smile Funeral services for Andrew Fredrick Andersen, 95, were conducted Monday in Cove LDS Ward chapel. Mr. Andersen died Friday after a short illness. Mr. Andersen was born Feb. 7, 1880, in Smithfield, to James Andrew and Hannah Marie Petersen Andersen. He married Elvira Ransom Dec. 21, 1910, in Logan LDS Temple. Survivors include his widow; sons and daughters, Mrs. Glen (Lilus) Anderson, Rupert, Idaho; Mrs. Roxie Boggs, Salt Lake City; Mrs. LaVera Cetraro, Mrs. William (Wanda) Jensen, both of Cove; Mrs. Theo Tibbets, Paul, Idaho; Fred LaVoy, ODean, both of (La-Von- a) Preston; Mrs. Robert Mein burg, Boise; dell, Green River, (Dor-m- a) Wen- Wyo.; Duane, Cupertino, Calif.; Floyd, Porterville; Loyal, 49 grandchild- Smithfield; ren; 48 brother and sisters, Leslie, n; Hyrum; Mrs. Mark (Medie) McBride, Smithfield, and Mrs. Natolie Gifton, Idaho. Mendenhall, When we modernized the First Security Bank in Richmond, we turned back the clock to the gay nineties. We refurbished an antique brass rail to go with our 1890 motif teller cages. We covered the walls to complement our new carpets and draperies. We added some modern touches, too, like a new night depository, new heating, air conditioning and lighting, and we dressed up the front windows so you could get a taste of what's inside. If you havent seen it in already, stop anytime during the week of April 7th to 11th. Were holding open house for all our friends with free souvenirs and light refreshments all week. Franklin County's Senior Gtizens will hold their dinner for the month on Saturday, April 19. The event will be held in the Robinson Building. (Bertha) Woodland, Ucon, Idaho; several grandchildren and She was preceded in death by two children, two sisters and her parents. On Nov. 13, 1923, he married Ada Ames in Preston. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was a lumberman and farmer. Surviving are his widow and the following children : Mrs. Merlin (Jean) Harris, Sunset, Utah; Dan, Portland, Ore.; Blake, Layton, Utah; Mrs. David (Merna) Thatcher, Bountiful, Utah; Gary, Sacramento, Calif. ; 19 grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, George, The Dalles, Ore.; Charles, Kent, Wash.; Mrs. Harvey (Etta) Choat, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. LeRoy (Mamie) Smith, Some 82 people toured four of the islands of Hawaii having left here March 17 by Western airlines. They stopped at Hilo and did some touring and stayed overnight. This is on the Island of Hawaii. Then they flew to Kona on the other side of the island and stayed overnight. They toured the Island of Maui then the Kauai Island where they spent two nights and took the Fern Cove tour. At Waikiki Beach, Honolulu cm the island of Oahu they spent five days touring the temple and grounds, the Polynesian center, Paradise Park, Sea World and the Kodak show.
