Show $ I THURSDAY MAY 24, 1973 THE CACHE CITIZEN-- Lewiston Lions Hear Students from the Lewiston Elementary School part- in the Lewiston City beautification project and won second place in the conserva- icipated tion project. They received free tickets to the Lewiston Community Theater for their entire family during the month of June. The winners were Karol Pond, Monte Baker, Connie Hansen. Lyle Allen. Todd Bodily, Roger Barker, Annette Grif- fin. Stacy Spencer, Robyn Robinson, Brent McKnight, Thomas Jensen and Boyd Hall. Grant Gordon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross H. Gordon, won the Reserve Champion ribbon for the Junior winners at the Richmond Black and White Show. Many other young people from Lewiston won various prizes in showing their animals. Christine Peters, who during the past school year has been living in North Logan, was an overnight guest Monday of the Donald Blair family. Christine had been a foster child of the Blairs for three years and was visiting them prior to returning to own home for the summer months. Frank and Bessie Last of Bountiful, and their son, Curtis, his wife, Susan, and two children of Salt Lake City, were guests Sunday of Lewis and Vaudis Boman. Wayne and Carma Noble enjoyed a weekend of boating at Funeral Mrs. Kaysville, and Geraldine and Garth Johnson. Ward Conference was held Sunday in .Lewiston Fourth Ward. Speakers were President Rex Plowman and counselors R. J. Spackman and Melvin Grant Sadler of the Benson Stake and Bishop Garr B. Morrison and his counselors, Gilbert and Joseph Ray. Cornish. Cindy Gilbert played a piano solo. Kristine Marler and Allan Gibbons appeared with the Front Porch Majority, the popular Sky View High School sing- ing group, as they were presented on the Eugene Jelez-ni- k Talent Showcase Sunday on Channel 5. . and Mrs. Lloyd Elwood and Bishop and Mrs. Ralph V. Baird. Marilyn Wood Freshwater of Dugway visited with her father, Wood, last week. She had come to Lewiston to attend and participate in funeral service for Jane Bybee Larsen, who had been a close friend and neighbor of the Wood family for many years. Ellis and Susan Allen and son, Michael, cf Logan spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Blair. ' Greg Lund, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daines Lund, received his Duty to God Trail Award Sunday in Lewiston Fourth Ward Sacrament meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cherry of Meridian, Idaho were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Neeley and family. The Cherrys were here to attend the funeral of their uncle, Andrew Shumway of Preston, Idaho. Mr. Byron O. Hanson drovd to Laramie, Wyoming and accompanied his dauther andgirlsback to Cornish. Mrs. Carelton Reese and family will spend some time in the valley visiting before joining Captain reese who will leave tobestationed in Germany. Captain Reese will leave the later part of June. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Home and Kitty of Salt Lake City visited with the Arthur Price family Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Steinmates of Hill Field and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Koeford of Weston, Idaho visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Goodwin Miss Sadie Sorenson, Mrs. Lilia Rutherfurd, Mrs. Rex Nielson of River Tits, and Mrs. Jill Wliittin,ham of Sydney, Australia were guests of Misses Virginia and Mae Hanson last Thursday. All the brothers and sisters of Mrs. Simmonds were in attendence and spent the week end.
