She was born March 7, 1881, in Logan, a daughter of Peter and Elsie Kathrine Madsen Larson, and married Hyrum W. Smith on Dec. 5, 1906 in Preston. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Mr. Smith died in 1966. She was active in the LDS church serving as president and class leader in the Relief Society. She taught in Sunday School and in other auxil- BLOCKS iaries. She is survived by the folWendell, lowing children: Elliot and Jean J., all of Preston, Irene Smith of Idaho Falls and Cleone Kinney of Pocatello. One daughter preceded her in death. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Riverdale ward chapel.
