Daines gave an interesting talk on Okinawa while she and her husband, Dr. Daines, and children lived there. As t'l-guests arrived at the Tasso home, they were greeted at the door by Mrs. Tasso and Mrs. Daines, wearing colorful authentic costumes portraying the type of dress the people wear in Okinawa. Mrs. Daines told of the living habits of the people and showed many beautiful slides. She also displayed clothing, jewelry and silver and a variety of wooden dishes.
