Mrs. Grace Harris, had dinner in Pocatello, then visited his brother, Lloyd Panter, at the Bannock Memorial hospital, who had surgery last week. They also visited his wife at their home after visiting hours. Bishop and Mrs. Dean Pan ter attended sacrament meetand ing with their Mr. and Mrs. Brent daughter, Harker, in a Salt Lake City ward Sunday. Bishop Panter blessed his little granddaugh ter and gave her the name of Haley Harker. The Harkers have a son, Cameron. son-in-la- w A reunion of the Archibald Benjamin Stephenson family was held Aug. 10 at the Preston city park. Seventy descendants attended the dinner and program. Mr. Stephenson and his wife, Susan Mariah, were early settlers of Mapleton, Franklin county, then known as St Joseph, Oneida county, They homesteaded 160 acres of land in this community, Mr. Stephenson also carried the United States mail from Mapleton to Franklin twice each week until his death in 1905. Mrs. Stephenson died in Preston in 1942. Mrs. Preston (Alice) Mer rill, Preston, the only surviv ing child of this couple, was the honored guest at the family gathering. Her daughter, Virginia Merrill, read her mother's history. A granddaughter, Kathy Jacobs, presented an original reading of tribute to her grandmother. A corsage was presented to the honored guest. CLEVELAND BRIEFS and Mrs. Gaylan Co vert spent the weekend near Ogden visiting her folks. They are making their home for Mr. the present in the George Perry home which is owned by McGregor brothers. BRIEFS Mr. and Mrs. Norman and children of Garland and three young Explorers spent the weekend here. They visited a short time with his mother, Grace Harris. The boys and Norman went to Black Canyon to camp and fish. Mrs. Harris and children visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Johnson, and attended the Caribou Fair in Grace. Mrs. Leland Panter visited Thursday with Mrs. Pearl Barger for a short time. Mrs. Dixie Clegg and boys and her nephew, Cameron Harker of Salt Lake City, spent the week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Panter. Mrs. Francene Harker and daughter came to her parents' home, the Panters, to spend the week for her little grandson Scott Saturday while his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Panter, and two girls of Soda Springs attended the annual Monsanto outing for employees and families. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Panter spent Friday afternoon in Logan having their car serviced and in Bear River City at the Oleen Nelson home. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Wright and younger children spent the weekend in Yellowstone Park. They visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wright, in Pocatello on their return home. end.
