Bernhisel of Lewiston spent Monday to Wednesday in Salt Lake City and Bountiful visiting relatives and friends. On Friday, they went back to be present at the unveiling of the monument honoring Dr. John Milton Bernhisel, a grandfather of II. Fay Bernhisel. Dr. Bernhisel was the first representative in the U. S. Congress from the Territory of Utah. Other grandchildren surviving are Mrs. Sadie Stoddard of Richmond, Mrs. Grace Robinson of Arcadia, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Isom of Alhambra, Calif. They were not present. A family party will be held at Dr. Ted Bernhisel's home on Bear Lake from Wednes day to Friday. Attending will be Mr. and Mrs. II. F. Bernhisel of Lewiston, Dr. and Mrs. Ted Bernhisel and family of Salt Lake City, Dr. and Mrs. Harry Bernhisel and family of Bountiful, and Mr, and Mrs. Ross Wilson and family of Salt Lake City, and other relatives. Hal B. Mardis of Claremont, Calif., who has returned to the U. S. after serving four years with the U. S. Air Force in England, visited at the B. T. Rose was born July 27, 1888, at Cove, Utah to John Christian and Mary Ellen Titensor Larsen. She attended school at Cove and the BYC at Logan, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Rose were married Nov. 11, 1908 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They made their home in Weston where they have been active members of the LDS Church Mr. Rose and community. served as an assistant to the Sunday School superintendent for 11 years, was president of the Elders quorum and in the presidency of the Seventies quorum. He was bishop of the Weston ward from March 1919 to September 1929, and president of the Franklin stake High Priests from 1929 to 1934. He has been a home teacher, a teacher in the MIA and in the Sunday School. He worked in the Sunday School organization for 56 years. Mr. Rose was active in community affairs. He served on the school board for 12 years, was chairman for eigni years, during which time the high school building was erected in Weston. He was chairman of the Weston Creek Irrigation Company for eight years and was president of the Chamber of Commerce in Weston for five years. Mrs. Rose has served in all the organizations of the church. She has been a teacher in the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society. She was treasurer in the Relief Society for 11 years and a counselor for two years. She served for six years as a counselor and five years as president of the YWMIA. 1952. they Tn November went to St. George, Utah for the winter months, iney have spent each winter there since and have been actively engaged doing temple work.
