Show STAN'S MARKET PRESTON'S MOST CONVENIENT SUPER MARKET . . . CORN Quarter Horse Show Saturday The Bridgerland Standard Quarter Horse club show will be held Saturday in the Preston Rodeo arena beginning at a a.m. Manager of the show is Dick Swainston with Ralph B. Casad as judge, Bob Loper as ring steward and Louise Palmer as secretary. There will be 19 different classes in the show, with each class sponsored by an area merchant. There are three and four divisions in some of the classes. The classes and the sponsors for each division include: 1967 Colts, Texaco Service: 1966 Colts, Kim's Sinclair Ser vice; 1965 Sallions, Chadwick's Department Store. Pitcher. 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Pitcher of Smithfield, is serving with the U. S. Marine Corps in Viet nam. As a member of Headquar ters and Service Battalion, he helps provide communication, transportation and adminis trative services for his regi ment. For about the past eight years he had f"Ws-stic- k lived in Brigham City. He was a painter and decorator. Most of his life he had soent in Clarkston and Cache Valley. He was born Aug. 16, 1922, in Clarkston, a son of David Sparks and Thompson Sparks. He graduated from North Cache high school and from the seminary at North Cache, and served in the Army during World War II. He was married to Phyllis Anderson July 13, 1967, in Pocatello. Mr. Sparks is survived by his wife of Brigham City; a sister, Mrs. Vic (Ruby) Horner of Brigham City; Mrs. Edward (Maurine) Brown, Mrs. William (Donna) Chapman, Mrs. Luella Broby, Mrs. Bethea Dahle, all of Logan; Mrs. Lewis (Sylvia) Dahle, Glenneth Sparks, and Ray Sparks, all of Clarkston, Funeral services were Mondav in the Clarkston LDS ward chapel with Bishop Edwin M. LE ROY SMITH Le Roy Smiths To Note 50th Year The sons of LeRoy and Lona Preece Smith will honor their parents on June 22, 1968 with an open house to cele- brate their golden wedding anniversary. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend. It will be held on the patio at the Benson stake center in Richmond from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. They request there be no gifts. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Smith were married on June 20, 1918 in the Logan temple. They have been active mem bers of the Richmond South ward throughout their married life. Mr. Smith was born Sept. 3, 1895 in Richmond, Utah, a son of William F. Smith and He Sarah Jane Spackman. was educated in the Richmond schools. He was a counselor in the elders quor um and a ward teacher for many years. He is a veteran of World War I. She served as president of the Richmond South ward Relief Society for 10 years and also as organist and block teacher. She has worked on the Primary stake board and has served as president, counselor and organist in the ward Primary.
