Niels Anderson Niels Chester Anderson, 49, of Chicago, former resident died Sunday, of Preston, March 10, in Chicago from a sudden illness. He was born in Mink Creek Jan. 30, 1919, to Mads Andersen and Karoline Olsen Andersen. He married Elizabeth Cantalupe in Chicago in 1942. He was a World War II Navy veteran and was chosen as one scout to attend the Scout Jamboree in Valley Forge, Pa., as an Eagle scout. He was an electrician by trade. Surviving are his widow, father, and the following brothers and sisters: Swend Anderson, Mrs. Curtis B. (Elsie) Keller of Preston; Howard Anderson, Bountiful; Mrs. Wayne E. (Donna) Hafner, Las Vegas, Nev.; stepchildren, Mrs. Viggo (Nadine) Mortensen and Mrs. Lynn R. (Lita) Moreton, both of Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Preston Second ward under the direction of the Mink Creek ward bishopric. Friends may call at the Webb Mortuary Friday evening from 7 to 9 and Saturday until time of services. He was born Aug. 13, 1891. at Lewiston, Utah, to Jefferson D. and Nancy Lou Jamison. He married Ivie May Keller of Preston on April 3, 1918 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She died Dec. 11, 1953 at Van Nuys, Calif. He married Eva Bernice Thompson Oct. 7, 1960. Mr. Jamison was a high priest in the LDS church. RICHMOND BRIEFS Elder Robert Spackman, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Spackman, Richmond, returned after spending two and half years on a mission to Sweden. Following his mission, he toured into Germany, Paris, Bern, Switzerland, London, and spent a few days in New York City. He will report his mission in sacrament services on Sunday, March 17, at 11:15 a.m., in the Richmond ward. |
