Golden Kilbum, executive assistant, A AA, and state director of the potato diversion program, announced this week. Only 2,460,574 pounds of potatoes for diversion remain to be alloted to individual growers. Under the provisions of the potato diersion program of the surplus marketing administration, growers who have cooperated in the AAA program by complying with acreage allotment are eligible to receive a payment of 25 cents a hundred for potatoes of the U. S. No. 2, or belter, grade diverted for livestock feed. The aim of this program was to re. lleve the market of surplus potatoes and support the price to growers. Etormy weather has prolonged the feeding season and has added to the amount of potatoes growers could divert, Mr. Kllburn pointed out. But he urged that growers who Intend to make further diversion, do so at once as warm weather will make feeding potatoes to livestock more difficult. Goes to Minnesota A srW7M?
