Hands of Growers. r. Z. HARRIS lty who supplied sugar beets for the Franklin County Sugar company in 1933 were made happy on Friday when that company distributed $25,000 in bonus checks. These checks were on a basis of thirty cents per ton for all beets delivered. Not only did these checks go to the farmers of Frank- lin county but also to growers m Logan and Cache county who contract with the factory at Whit- -' ney. This April 1 payment to the growers makes a total paid todale on the 1933 crop of $4.55 per ton. There is j et to be paid two more payments. One will come on July 1 and the final settlemenet will be October 1. Thomas Heath, the geniel manager of the Franklin County Sugar company, Is hopeful for another good season for his factory. Contracts have already been signed for upwards of 8500 acres. This is a larger acreage than was thinned last season by patrons of the Whitney factory.
